1993年10月3日郑连杰与孙肇增于司马台长城第三烽火台创作实施
“迷失的记忆”
材料：复印纸、木材、绳子、扑克牌、可口可乐
实施过程：郑连杰头、身体捆绑黑布，赤脚只留嘴，与身披红布的孙肇增对座在木架框中，郑连杰不断抽着万宝路香烟、喝可乐、吃苹果、躺卧与孙肇增静目、冥想的目光相对，无语言交流。
城墙上有不断抛下的扑克牌飘洒在他 们的身体上和木架框内外。
最后在郑连杰把喝完的可口可乐罐用手压扁、变形后结束。
全部过程持续一小时。

On October 3, 1993, New York-based Chinese performance artist Zheng Lianjie (last name Zheng) and Sun Zhaozeng (last name Sun) staged a performance/installation work called “Memory Loss” on the third Fire Tower of the Great Wall SiMaTai site.

lnside a box-shaped wooden frame, Zheng Lianjie’s head and body was completely wrapped in black, exposing only his mouth and bare feet. Sitting next to him in deep meditation was Sun Zhaozeng, draped in a red cloth. Without words, Zheng and Sun communicated peacefully through gestures and glances while listening to the sounds of nature around them. Zheng then smoked Marlboro cigarettes-one after another, drank Coca-Cola, ate an apple while reclining next to Sun. Playing cards continuously fell all around them on the Great Wall throughout the piece. Finally, Zheng used his hand to crush the emptied Coca-Cola can, the changed shape signaling the end of the piece.The work lasted for one hour.
